Russian troops land in Hanoi for Vietnam's 80th National Day parade
A Russian military delegation landed at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi on Wednesday to join rehearsals for Vietnam's National Day celebrations, one of the country's largest and most symbolic parades in decades.
The special flight carrying more than 30 servicemen from the Russian Federation touched down shortly after 10 a.m. They were greeted by senior officers from the Hanoi Capital Command, who presented flowers in a formal welcome ceremony before escorting the delegation to their accommodations.

Over the next days, the Russian delegation will drill alongside Vietnamese units as they prepare for the Sept. 2 parade at Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam's independence in 1945.
This year's celebrations are unprecedented in scale: around 16,000 participants from the armed forces and police will march through the capital in 43 formations, backed by tanks, armored vehicles, air force flyovers, and, for the first time, naval forces parading off the coast of Khanh Hoa Province in central Vietnam.
Earlier this month, military contingents from Laos and Cambodia reached Vietnam and are currently training at the Mieu Mon National Training Center. Together, the three countries will join Vietnamese forces in marking the 80th anniversary of the nation's independence.
Beyond the official parade, Hanoi will host cultural performances and exchanges between soldiers and citizens at venues such as Quan Ngua Sports Palace and August Revolution Square.
The day will begin with a torch-lighting ceremony and celebratory gun salutes, before transforming into a mix of solemn remembrance and festive spectacle.
