Vietnam welcomes DPRK-US summit outcomes

Hang made the statement in response to reporters’ query regarding the DRPK-US summit outcomes in Hanoi on June 12.
The spokesperson emphasized Vietnam’s persistent stance on supporting denuclearisation, peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, and settling all issues by peaceful measures and on the basis of international law.

The US-DPRK meeting occurred at 9 am on June 12 (local time) at Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island.
DPRK’s leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump signed a document after their talks in which Kim reaffirmed his commitment to "work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula", without giving further details, according to international media.
