Vietnamese work together towards goals set for 2019

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President Nguyen Phu Trong has sent the best New Year greetings to all Vietnamese in and outside the country on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2019.

He took the occasion to wish people around the world a new year of peace, friendship, happiness, and prosperity.

Looking back the year 2018, the leader said he and others were very happy that the unity, joint efforts, and unanimity made by the entire Party, people and army allowed the country to weather a lot of difficulties to achieve many important and comprehensive attainments in almost all fields.

“It’s not by chance that an atmosphere of excitement and confidence has been increasingly spreading among people of all walks of life, exerting positive and powerful impacts across the country, which have been acknowledged by international friends,” the leader said.

Entering 2019, the year of great significance in implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, the 2016-2020 socio-economic development plan, and looking forward to the Party’s 13th National Congress, with new confidence, new impetus, and new motivation, the entire Party, people and army continue staying united, bringing into full play achieved outcomes, and making greater efforts to surmount all difficulties and challenges, accomplish all set goals and tasks, and step by step build a more beautiful Vietnam as desired by late President Ho Chi Minh, he said.

He extended his wish to each Vietnamese a new year of health, joy, happiness, and success.
