VND15.5 billion allocated to support people in epidemic-hit cities and provinces

Oon behalf of the Central Relief Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Truong Thi Ngoc Anh has signed decisions on allocating a total of VND15.5 billion to support people affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in cities and provinces.

The committee decided to allocate an amount of VND12 billion from the funds for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, to help Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in the provinces of Hau Giang, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Tien Giang, An Giang, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, and Kon Tum implement measures to support the epidemic prevention and control work in the localities. Accordingly, each province will receive VND1 billion.

People facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Binh Thuan Province receive “welfare bags”.

Meanwhile, Bac Lieu Province and Ben Tre Province will be supported with VND1.5 billion each and Ha Tien City in Kien Giang Province will receive VND500 million.

The Central Relief Committee requested the supported provinces and cities to coordinate with local functional agencies and use the support funds in an open and transparent manner in accordance with the regulations and provisions of the law.

VND8 billion allocated to support returnees from pandemic-hit areas
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee has decided to allocate VND8 billion to support people returning from pandemic-hit areas to their home provinces in Soc Trang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Kien Giang and Binh Dinh.
