Vu Thi Trang finishes runner up at Maldives International Challenge

– The Bac Giang born badminton player Vu Thi Trang (world No. 64) has recently
finished runner up in the women’s singles event at Maldives
International Challenge 2019 after being defeated by Iris Wang (the United
States, world No.102) in the final match on September 29.

It was an opportunity for Vu Thi Trang to face to a lower-ranked opponent in the final round. However, Iris Wang showed her better manner and spirit after defeating No.1 seed Yigit (Turkey, world No.35) in the semi-final round.

In the final, Vu Thi Trang was beaten by Iris Wang after two sets with scores of 15/21 and 14/21 to finish runner up at the championship which was a success to No.3 seed Vu Thi Trang.

Excellent Junior Players took place from July 14 – 21 at the Sports Competition
Hall in Tay Ninh province, drawing the participation of more than 230 players
from 25 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide.

National Youth Badminton Championship 2019 has been launched at Tien Son Sports
Complex in the central coastal city of Da Nang. This tournament attracted
nearly 500 participants from 40 provinces and cities nationwide.
