Vu Thi Trang finishes runner up at Maldives International Challenge

– The Bac Giang born badminton player Vu Thi Trang (world No. 64) has recently
finished runner up in the women’s singles event at Maldives
International Challenge 2019 after being defeated by Iris Wang (the United
States, world No.102) in the final match on September 29.

It was an opportunity for Vu Thi Trang to face to a lower-ranked opponent in the final round. However, Iris Wang showed her better manner and spirit after defeating No.1 seed Yigit (Turkey, world No.35) in the semi-final round.

In the final, Vu Thi Trang was beaten by Iris Wang after two sets with scores of 15/21 and 14/21 to finish runner up at the championship which was a success to No.3 seed Vu Thi Trang.
Bac Giang’s team win first overall place at national badminton tourney 2019 for excellent junior players

Excellent Junior Players took place from July 14 – 21 at the Sports Competition
Hall in Tay Ninh province, drawing the participation of more than 230 players
