The industrial clusters have created jobs to more than 4,000 labours in and outside the city with average income of 5 - 8 million VND per person per month. Amid severe impact of Covid-19 pandemic for over two years, the enterprises at the industrial clusters have contributed over 60 billion VND to the state budget, helping accelerate the industrial and service development.
Attracting environmental friendly projects
The operation activity at the industrial clusters has still had shortcomings and yet to bring equivalent economic value. The infrastructure at some industrial clusters is not synchronous such as in Tan My and Da Mai industrial clusters where the concentrated wastewater system is not constructed so the wastewater in industrial production is discharged to the canal, leading to environment pollution.
Some businesses recommended the municipal authority to pay more attention to handling difficulties in land clearance to accelerate the progress of infrastructure construction, facilitating them to adjust and add operational fields that suit to new situation.
Orienting to develop industrial clusters till 2020 with the vision to 2030, Bac Giang city will maintain the operation of 7 current industrial clusters and one industrial park; establish new Song Mai - Nghia Trung industrial park (including 90 ha in the city) and Tan My - Hong Thai industrial cluster (including 12 ha in the city).
