At the meeting, the participants were asked for opinion upon the scheme of urban master plan of Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province until 2045 (1:10,000 ratio). The planning land area is about 25,830 hectares including 6,656 hectares of Bac Giang city and 19,174 hectares of Yen Dung district.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai concludes the meeting.

The scheme is made to realize the strategies of Bac Giang province master plan in the period from 2021 to 2030, with a vision to 2050 and related plannings to build Bac Giang city into an important gateway to the northeast of Ha Noi capital zone.

According to the scheme, Bac Giang city will be developed following the multi-center model with unique features of each area and different centers connected by public traffic systems.

In his conclusion, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai stressed the provincial Party Committee agreed with the viewpoint to develop Bac Giang city into a service, transportation, relaxing and shopping center as well as a goods transshipment hub between Hanoi capital zone and the northern border gates, towards a green and smart city.

He urged the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee to continue directing related agencies especially the Department of Construction, Bac Giang city and Yen Dung district to strictly grasp the opinions of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee to finalize the Scheme.

Great expectations from the National Master Planning

After a long period of meticulous preparation, the dossier of the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, has been approved by the Appraisal Council of the Government and then will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the upcoming session in October.
