After nearly 10 days of suspension, on May 25, the provincial People's Committee issued Plan 213 on reorganizing production of enterprises in industrial parks to realize the "dual goals" of combating the pandemic and restoring and developing production.

In the four IPs, many enterprises form part of the supply chains for large corporations in the world such as Apple, Samsung Toyota and Honda. If Samsung Bac Giang closes down for a longer time, Samsung Bac Ninh and Samsung Thai Nguyen will also be affected. Currently, Bac Giang has 13 component manufacturing facilities for Samsung. 

The production reorganization of enterprises in the IPs will contribute to reducing the load on areas under quarantine, gradually stabilizing workers' jobs, incomes and lives, while building a new safe environment for production and business. Accordingly, enterprises that ensure sufficient safety conditions are allowed to return to production.

Implementing the above plan, the province carefully assessed the conditions and risks before reopening the four IPs. After reviewing the documents, on May 28 and 29, the provincial IP Management Board agreed to allow nine enterprises to resume operations. As of May 31, three out of the nine enterprises resumed their production lines, namely New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd in the Van Trung Industrial Park, Fuhong Precision Component Bac Giang in the Dinh Tram Industrial Park, and Hope Special Zone Co., Ltd.

These firms have about 1,700 workers working in factories. New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. boasts the highest number of workers returning to work, nearly 1,200.

Workers of Fuhong Precision Component Bac Giang Co., Ltd. are arranged to work in well-ventilated areas.

The units have strictly complied with epidemic prevention and control regulations such as measuring workers’ body temperature, making hand sanitizer available, and ensure distances in workplaces and canteens. In particular, all workers had stayed in the dormitories and tested negative enough times as prescribed before returning to work. These enterprises arrange their own shuttle buses to carry employees as well as request workers to live in dormitories and not to contact with people outside.

Nguyen Thi Huong, a worker at New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd., said that due to thorough understanding of pandemic prevention and control measures, we moved to the factory in groups, ensuring a distance in shuttle buses. During the meal breaks, workers are divided into groups who have meals in different times to limit large gatherings.

Guard rails installed at Expressway passing Van Trung and Quang Chau industrial parks

(BGO) – To prevent the workers and pedestrians from crossing over Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway, BOT Hanoi – Bac Giang Investment Joint Stock Company has installed steel grid guard rails at both sides and in the middle of median strip at the section from Quang Chau industrial park to Van Trung industrial park (Viet Yen district).
