There are 13 concentrated isolation areas in the entire province. 150 people are in concentrated isolation while 1,134 people are quarantined at their places of residence. 2,186 specimens have been taken, 2,081 of which were tested while the rest are in pending for testing.

The medical facilities tasked to receive and cure Covid-19 suspected and infected patients have been equipped with 468 beds in service.

On the social distancing rule, the number of people going to public places sharply has decreased. People pay more attention to wearing face masks and avoid gathering. Many stores and service suppliers temporarily close. The commodity market is kept stable without shortage of goods or price increase of the necessary goods.

Nguyen Dang So, Deputy Commander General of the provincial Military Command reports the meeting.

According to many opinions, it is difficult to buy materials, chemicals and equipment for the pandemic fight. In addition, there is small amount of biologicals in the provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC).

There are a lot of people going to the provincial General Hospital for medical services in early mornings. Although the hospital provided more waiting places and asked patients to take order number on phone, the distance of 2 metres is not ensured.

Besides, emergency screening faces high risk of infection because most of the emergency patients are in severe condition that doctors can hardly check their epidemiological history.

Concluding the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong clarified strong points, shortcomings and arising problems in the pandemic prevention and control. He stressed, the urgent task in the pandemic combat these days is to strictly supervise and monitor health of people coming from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, it is necessary to continue checking up foreigners residing in the province for health supervision.

Citizens must strictly obey the social distancing rule. People should go out only for emergencies. Gathering of more than 2 people in public places are prohibited. The districts and city need to strictly handle violations of the Directive No 16 of the Prime Minister.

Dang Thanh Minh, CDC’s Director reports the meeting.

The medical facilities need to foster patient supervision to prevent pandemic spread in the hospitals and medical centers. CDC should promptly buy SARS-CoV-2 quick test kits to supply the medical facilities for screening and remedy the shortage of biologicals to expand testing scales, especially testing all people from Bach Mai hospital (only 460 out of 1,605 people have been tested). It is essential to accelerate buying medical materials, equipment, medicine and biologicals to actively respond to the situations of disease infection and spreading.

PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong asked the localities to reinforce the steering committee for pandemic prevention and control at all levels. The departments of health, military and public security and the PPC’s Office are required to assign personnel on duty for the pandemic fight during days and nights.
