Bac Ninh delegation promotes trade, investment ties in China
BAC NINH - A delegation from the Northern province of Bac Ninh province took part in a series of trade and investment promotion activities in China from April 16 to 22, aiming to expand export markets and attract foreign investment.
The delegation, led by Tran Thi Hang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, joined official events in Yunnan and Shandong provinces under a programme organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On April 17, the delegation attended the China–Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Forum and the opening ceremony of an exhibition showcasing Vietnam’s key export products in Kunming, Yunnan province.
The event featured a range of Vietnamese goods, including many products from Bac Ninh.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in business matching forums, trade promotion activities and product exhibitions, highlighting Vietnam’s strong export sectors.

Bac Ninh promoted lychee, key agricultural products and traditional handicrafts as part of a broader campaign to introduce Vietnamese goods to major Chinese markets, including Yunnan and Shandong.
The exhibition in Kunming brought together Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises, providing opportunities for networking and expanding commercial partnerships.
Continuing the programme, on April 20 the delegation attended the opening of the 5th RCEP International Import Expo in Linyi city, Shandong province.

The event gathered participants from member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), aiming to enhance economic cooperation, trade exchange and regional integration.
At the expo, VIFOCO Import-Export JSC showcased processed agricultural products from Bac Ninh.
Tran Thi Hang personally introduced the province’s strengths, focusing on lychee and other signature agricultural and handicraft products with export potential to China and RCEP markets.
She also held discussions with international partners to expand market access and attract investment.
At a Vietnam - China trade promotion and business matching conference on April 21, the Standing Vice Chairwoman delivered a keynote speech highlighting Bac Ninh’s investment potential and development orientation.
She emphasized the province’s strategic location within Vietnam’s northern key economic region, its well-developed transport infrastructure and ongoing large-scale projects, notably the Gia Binh International Airport, which is expected to boost logistics and modern industry development.
Bac Ninh has emerged as a major high-tech industrial hub, hosting global corporations and a rapidly expanding network of industrial parks that have attracted thousands of projects worth tens of billions of dollars. Its import-export turnover remains among the highest nationwide.

In addition to industry, the province has strong agricultural potential, particularly lychee, a high-quality fruit favored in international markets, along with traditional handicrafts such as Dong Ho folk paintings and Phu Lang ceramics.
She called on Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to continue facilitating cooperation between Bac Ninh and Chinese localities, especially Linyi city and Shandong province.
She reaffirmed the province’s commitment to maintaining a transparent and business-friendly investment environment for Chinese enterprises seeking long-term partnerships.
Through the series of activities, Bac Ninh aims to further promote its image, strengthen trade connectivity, expand export markets and attract investment, contributing to its socio-economic development in the coming years.
