BAC NINH - Bac Ninh province recorded an agricultural production value of 140 million VND (over 6,100 USD) per hectare in 2025, according to statistics from the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Total output of food crops reached more than 942,000 tonnes in 2025, up by over 58,500 tonnes from the previous year. Lychee production rose sharply to 206,126 tonnes, an increase of more than 108,000 tonnes.

Output and yields of other crops, including maize, peanuts, sweet potatoes, longan, oranges and pomelos, also increased year on year.
Notably, 2025 marked the first year Bac Ninh successfully exported fresh longan to Australia, with a shipment of 20 tonnes.
Driven by crop restructuring and wider application of advanced farming techniques, the province’s agricultural income value reached 140 million VND per hectare.
The total value of crop production, calculated at current prices, exceeded 25 trillion VND, accounting for 41.6% of total agricultural output and representing a year-on-year increase of 12.3%.
In 2026, Bac Ninh aims to raise agricultural production value to 142 million VND per hectare.
To achieve this target, the agriculture sector will continue restructuring crop production based on regional advantages and farming intensity, while developing large-scale, concentrated commodity production zones.
Production will be organised along value chains for key products such as high-quality rice, maize and safe vegetables, as well as lychee, citrus fruits, apples, guava, longan and custard apple.
The province plans to expand the use of high-yield, high-quality crop varieties and increase the area under safe production standards, including VietGAP, GlobalGAP and organic farming.
Authorities will also continue converting low-efficiency rice land to crops with stronger market demand and higher income potential, while tightening management of planting area codes and packing facility codes to support fresh fruit exports.
