By sector, manufacturing and processing rose 16.36%, electricity production and distribution grew 0.71% while water supply and waste treatment expanded an estimated 19.03%.

At current prices, the value of industrial production in August was estimated at more than 234.14 trillion VND (10.25 billion USD), up 17.16%. For the January–August period, the figure reached over 1,556.85 trillion VND, up 16.17%.

Key products posted sharp increases, including smartwatches (up 34.92%), headphones (up 27.41%) and smartphones (up 33.84%).

The growth is attributed to Bac Ninh’s appeal as a destination for investors. Industrial parks such as Yen Phong 1, Yen Phong 2, Yen Phong II-C, Quang Chau and Van Trung have attracted many projects in the processing and manufacturing sectors.
