Bac Ninh accelerates factory construction in industrial parks
Bac Ninh - The northern industrial hub Bac Ninh is accelerating the construction of new factories as global manufacturers race to expand production capacity in the province. Immediately after completing legal procedures, investors quickly move to build factories in the industrial parks.
Speeding up progress to put projects in use
Chinese battery maker Sunwoda Vietnam Co Ltd, already operating in Van Trung Industrial Park, is investing more than 58 million USD in a new plant in Yen Lu Industrial Park. The factory, designed to produce lithium-ion cells and battery modules, is expected to be completed and operational in the third quarter of 2026.

Cooler Master Co., Ltd expects to put its factory in Gia Binh Industrial Park into operation from early 2026. |
The project will become Vietnam’s first factory producing 3C lithium-ion batteries, a step that analysts say could strengthen Vietnam’s role in the global electric mobility and electronics supply chain.
Taking advantage of favourable weather conditions in recent weeks, contractors have mobilised maximum manpower and equipment to speed up construction. To minimise environmental impact and disruption to neighbouring companies, the developer has required trucks to clean wheels before leaving the site and deployed workers to clear scattered soil and debris.
“Expanding in Bac Ninh is not only about scaling up production but also about positioning Sunwoda to penetrate deeper into Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas,” said Li Wei Neng, Deputy General Director of Sunwoda Vietnam.
Taiwanese-founded Cooler Master is also pushing ahead with a 10-hectare factory project in Gia Binh Industrial Park. The facility will manufacture liquid-cooling modules for AI servers, machine-learning systems and precision air conditioners for data centres — a fast-growing global market as demand for computing power surges.
The project includes automated production lines, management offices, wastewater treatment facilities and supporting infrastructure such as fencing and parking. Phase one is scheduled to start operations in early 2026.

Cooler Master currently operates a factory in Huizhou (China) and maintains representative offices in the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Brazil. Executives said the company plans to expand production in Bac Ninh and is inviting partners and suppliers to co-invest in Gia Binh to strengthen supply chain resilience.
Proactive support to ensure construction quality
According to the provincial Industrial Zone Authority, about 70 projects are currently under construction across the province’s industrial parks, concentrated mainly in Thuan Thanh III, Quang Chau and Que Vo.
Bac Ninh has become a magnet for global manufacturers thanks to its strategic location near Hanoi and Hai Phong port, abundant labour supply and comprehensive infrastructure.
Equally important, officials stressed, is the province’s proactive support for investors. Authorities assist companies with investment licensing, business registration, land leasing and certification procedures, while also creating special task forces to fast-track key projects.
“The province even set up a dedicated working group for Sunwoda, which saved the company a great deal of time,” Li Wei Neng, Deputy General Director of Sunwoda Vietnam said.
Currently, Bac Ninh has zoned 50 concentrated industrial parks with a combined area of over 15,000 hectares. Thirty-two parks covering 9,700 hectares have been formally established, and more than 20 are operational.

Officials regularly review the progress of infrastructure projects and instruct both developers and secondary investors to strictly comply with construction laws. Inspections are conducted to ensure order, quality, labour safety and environmental protection. Authorities said most investors are following regulations and no major incidents have been recorded at construction sites.
“Bac Ninh is now one of the most attractive destinations for multinational corporations,” said Nguyen Nhu Long, Deputy Head of the provincial Industrial Zone Authority. “We will continue to strengthen oversight and coordination with relevant departments to ensure compliance and quality across all projects.”
He said the authority would step up inspections on construction management and order, while also working with the construction department to provide regular training for enterprises. “Timely dissemination of policies and regulations will help companies raise awareness and comply fully during project implementation,” he added.
