The events will take place at the February 3 Square in Bac Giang Ward and the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre in Vu Ninh Ward under the artistic direction of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the February 3 Square, the provincial Centre for Culture and Tourism Promotion will stage an art programme themed “Colours of Kinh Bac Spring”, consisting of three chapters: “Returning to the Kinh Bac land”, “Spring in harmony” and “Bac Ninh’s aspiration to reach further”.

The performances include singing, dancing and music praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, spring, the country, and love for the homeland and the people of Bac Ninh.

Nearly 150 artists and performers will take part in the programme, including well-known singers such as Viet Tu, Nguyen Van Anh – runner-up of Sao Mai 2022 – along with Nam Anh, Anh Nguyet, Le Ngan, Ngoc Anh and Van Dung.

The show also features dancers from the Vietnam Dance Academy, the Camellia Dance Troupe, the Green Star Club and a large number of local amateur performers.

Meanwhile, at the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre, the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theatre will present an art programme comprising three sections: “Sunshine illuminating the spring”, “Quan Ho melodies welcoming spring on both riverbanks” and “Sounds of a new day”.

According to the organising committee, the programmes will be staged on a modern performance system with carefully choreographed content, harmoniously combining traditional and contemporary art forms.

The performances aim to recreate a vivid picture of Bac Ninh as a land with a thousand-year cultural heritage, rich in identity yet dynamic, creative and confident in international integration.

The events are expected to serve as a spiritual gift for officials and local residents on the occasion of the New Year, contributing to promoting the image of Bac Ninh province while inspiring pride, confidence and motivation to build Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh firmly on its new development journey.
