Enterprises accelerate exports, maintain growth momentum
BAC GIANG - Recently, Bac Giang has always been in the group of 10 localities with the highest export turnover nationwide. In 2023, the province's export turnover value reached 27.4 billion USD, ranking 6th nationwide, an increase of 4.8 billion USD compared to 2022.
Tran Quang Tan, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in the first 5 months of this year, the province's export turnover hit more than 10.1 billion USD, an increase of nearly 1.6 billion USD over the same period last year. This result was greatly contributed by many enterprises, especially businesses with foreign direct investment (FDI).

For example, Fuyu Precision Technology Company Limited in Quang Chau Industrial Park is specialized in manufacturing electronic communications equipment, network ports, peripheral routers and computers among others.
The company's products are supplied to the US computer technology Apple Group. Thanks to the effort in production and business, for the past 5 months, the company has exported millions of products of all kinds with export turnover of nearly 1.15 billion USD, an increase of nearly 145 million USD over the same period last year. Also, it create jobs for thousands of workers, contributing nearly 3.6 billion VND to the provincial budget.

Luxshare - ICT Co., Ltd in Van Trung Industrial Park has 5-month export turnover of nearly 857 million USD, an increase of about 100 million USD over the same period last year. This unit has exported millions of electronic components products to Apple Group.

Besides FDI enterprises, for the past 5 months, many domestic enterprises have also had high export turnover. Bac Giang targeted to achieve average export growth of 25-27% per year during 2021 - 2025.
According to the provincial Execution Plan of Goods Import-Export Strategy until 2030 issued by the People's Committee earlier this year, the province focuses on sustainable export development with priority taken to encouraging businesses to convert to a reasonable growth model in depth, high technology and processing technology associated with raw material areas and effective use of resources.
In 2023, the province's export turnover reached 27.4 billion USD, ranking 6th in the country (after Ho Chi Minh City and provinces of Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Thai Nguyen and Hai Phong City). Bac Giang province was the only one in the whole country with a surplus.
This year, the province strives to gain export turnover of 33 billion USD. Up to this point, the province's export turnover has reached about 30% of the year's plan.

According to the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, since early this year, the province has issued new investment registration certificates for 25 FDI projects with registered capital of nearly 200 million USD; adjusted capital for 24 FDI projects with an additional capital of more than 475 million USD, 9.1 times higher than the same period last year. The operating projects significantly contribute to increasing the province's export turnover in the coming time.
Besides, to support businesses in goods declaration, the Customs Office controlling the provincial Industrial Park pays attention to shortening customs clearance time and facilitating export activities.
The Office arranges staff to work at weekend to handle documents, avoiding a backlog of customs clearance declarations. For the past 5 months, the unit has proceeded more than 86,300 declaration sheets for businesses to export goods, an increase of about 45% over the same period last year.

BAC GIANG – Though this year lychee crop is not as bumper as previous seasons, Bac Giang province has proactively prepared consumption promotion plan together with maintaining traditional markets, expanding new markets in order to increase the product value. Along with instructions to improve the quality of lychees, all levels, sectors and localities have launched activities to connect and bring local special fruit further.
Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has said the northern province is stepping up trade promotion activities in 2024.
From now until 2025, the northern province of Bac Giang will pay more attention to developing a digital society and improving the efficiency of digital transformation, said Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications Tran Minh Chieu.

This success has been achieved thanks to enormous contributions of electricity sector, which ensure power supply to meet the province’s demand for industrial development.
BAC GIANG - After 5 years implementing the One commune one product programme (OCOP), Bac Giang province has gained dramatic results. The province has paid special attention to both developing quantity and improving product quality. Thus, many strong products of the province meet the increasing demand of domestic and export markets.
