Updated: 11:29, 04/06/2026

BAC NINH - French exhibition and conference organizer ABE is seeking to expand its presence in Vietnam through investment cooperation with Bac Ninh province, with a focus on the aviation industry and related supply chains, provincial officials said.

Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh People's Committee (PPC) Pham Van Thinh on June 3 met with a delegation from ABE (International Exhibitions and Conferences), together with representatives of Giza Group/Haast Vietnam, to discuss investment promotion plans and the organization of aviation-related events.

Bac Ninh's PPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh holds talks with ABE representative Stephane Castet.

Stephane Castet, a representative of ABE, said the company specializes in business networking events, trade fairs and strategic forums aimed at connecting industry stakeholders.

In Vietnam, ABE previously partnered with Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade to organize major aerospace events, including the AeroExpo Hanoi & Vietnam Aviation Forum 2023, designed to strengthen global supply chain links.

Stephane Castet presents a commemorative gift to PPC Vice  Chairman Pham Van Thinh.

Building on that experience, Castet said ABE hopes to bring its business ecosystem to Vietnam and Bac Ninh in particular to promote investment, trade and services, especially in the aviation sector.

The company plans to organize the Vietnam Aviation Industry Exhibition 2026 in Hanoi and invited Bac Ninh to participate with a pavilion showcasing the province's industrial products.

ABE also expressed interest in investing in aviation equipment supply chain manufacturing facilities and high-quality aviation workforce training programs in Bac Ninh, with the longer-term goal of helping develop a comprehensive aviation industrial ecosystem in Vietnam.

The PPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh said Bac Ninh has become a major high-tech manufacturing hub and an important link in global supply chains, supported by a favorable investment environment and modern infrastructure.

The province has attracted leading multinational corporations including Samsung, Foxconn, Goertek and Amkor, and is now shifting its investment strategy toward higher value-added industries driven by advanced technology and innovation, he said.

The ABE delegation visits Bac Ninh Cultural and Exhibition Center as part of preparations for future events.

He called on ABE to help connect Bac Ninh with leading French and European aerospace corporations and industry associations, enabling the province to reach investors with strong technological capabilities and global supply chain leadership in aviation and logistics.

The provincial leader reaffirmed that Bac Ninh would provide the best possible conditions for ABE's investment projects and reiterated the province's ambition to become a future destination for innovation and the aviation industry.

During the visit, the ABE delegation also surveyed the Bac Ninh Cultural and Exhibition Center as part of preparations for upcoming events.
