The festival – which is the eighth of its kind, held by the city’s People’s Committee – will introduce outstanding products of traditional craft villages across the country, including jewelry, embroidery, bronze casting, bamboo and rattan products, Zeng textiles, among others.

The organizers will also arrange a special zone for practitioners of oriental medicine to give examinations. Meanwhile, the craft of making Ao dai (traditional long dress) will be honored, and ao dai tailoring services will be offered to visitors at the event.

Products made from the lotus plant – like silk, wine, tea, paintings, and conical leaf hats – of artisans from Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Thap province will be chosen as key crafts in the spotlight at this year’s festival.

Areas will be set up to popularise traditional products of foreign cities.

In addition, fascinating activities will be held at the pedestrian roads of Chu Van An, Pham Ngu Lao, and Vo Thi Sau as well as along the southern bank of Huong River.

Throughout the traditional craft festival, the city wants to promote the locality’s image and products towards domestic and international friends.

Nineteen traditional handicraft villages to meet in Hoi An
