PM attends gala performance marking National Day

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a gala performance at the Hanoi Opera House on September 1 to mark the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.

Entitled “My Motherland Has Never Been So Beautiful”, the event was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in partnership with the Central Commission for Communication and Education and Vietnam Television.

Consisting of three parts, the gala featured songs and dances re-creating the passionate atmosphere of the August Revolution and the day President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed Vietnam’s independence as well as the joy of the great victory of 1975 that liberated the southern region and reunified Vietnam.

The elaborately staged gala witnessed the performance of renowned artists from major cultural institutions across the country.

All streets in the capital city of Hanoi are decorated brilliantly with colourful flowers, national flags and banners to celebrate the 75th anniversary of National Day (September 2).

A series of activities will be organised at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in the Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay Town, Hanoi, throughout September in celebration of the 75th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 -2020).

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on August 31 laid a wreath and offered incense to fallen soldiers at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument in Phnom Penh on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
