PPC Chairman Duong Van Thai urges to pay high attention to socio-economic development ensuring growth targets
In February and the first 2 months, socio-economic development of the province maintained the good growth rate. The production value in February is estimated at 16.33 trillion VND (705.8 million USD), up 6.9 percent compared to the previous month. The 2-month value is estimated at some 31.6 trillion VND (1.36 billion USD), up 23.7 percent against the same period.

The PPC directed effective implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control. However, Covid-19 outbreak badly affected production, business and people’s living while the African swine fever, avian influenza A (H5N6 and H5N1) still see unpredictable developments.
The participants discussed to clarify the gained results as well as difficulties and shortcomings in implementing the socio-economic development and major duties of the localities.

Leaders of some departments and sectors responded to the localities’ recommendations on land clearance compensation for some construction projects, investment approval procedures for the waste treatment plant project in Luc Ngan district, bidding and launching new projects.
The Department of Education and Training recommended allowing students to come back school while ensuring good prevention and control against Covid-19.
PPC Chairman Duong Van Thai urged all levels to pay high attention to Covid-19 fight, well control sources of infection and prevent Bac Giang from the epidemic spread.

The entire province strives for socio-economic development targeting at the growth rate of 17.1 percent. The department of Agriculture and Rural development, Industry and Trade and the districts need to proactively call enterprises to cooperate in lychee consumption especially export to Japan.
It is required to remove obstacles for enterprises in material import from China, foster administrative procedure reform and strengthen work disciplines. The localities and units need to direct making the province’s master plan in period from 2021 to 2030 with a vision to 2050.
