PPC Chairman of Bac Giang province Duong Van Thai directs to remove obstacles for investors
According to the report, the provincial departments, sectors and people’s committee of the districts and city have made efforts in the first 2 months to support enterprises and investors in dealing with investment and business procedures, making land acquisition profiles and plans for land clearance compensation, making land handover and land rent profiles for the projects.

In first 2 months, the province gave a nod to 17 projects including 10 domestic projects with total registered capital of 302 billion VND (13 million USD) and 7 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects valued at nearly 70 million USD.
According to many participants, investment support and business development of the province has not achieved efficiency. There is shortage of information and facilities for investors and enterprises to seek for support from state agencies. Besides, infrastructure in the industrial parks and clusters is asynchronous.
In his conclusion, PPC Chairman Duong Van Thai stressed, Covid-19 outbreak is affecting the province’s growth. In order to welcome new wave of investment, he urged related departments and sectors, districts and city to concentrate on removing obstacles for investors. The top priority task is land clearance to create the “clear” land resources.
The provincial Chairman requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to provide mechanism to handle difficulties in land clearance and collaborate with the localities to organize meetings on land clearance in which clarifying specific tasks of each level and sector in implementation.

The Department of Transportation to revise shortcomings and obstacles in implementing BOT projects, consult the PPC Chairman to organize meetings with investors, foster testing quality of traffic construction projects and road light systems and work with the districts and city to supplement traffic planning.
PPC Chairman stressed, the provincial departments and sectors need to strengthen administrative procedure reform while reinforcing disciplines in performing public duties.
The provincial State Bank, Customs Department, Society Insurance and Customs Department managing the Industrial Park should closely follow direction of the Central to help enterprises surmount difficulties due to impact of Covid-19.
