VTV to broadcast Indonesia vs Vietnam 2022 World Cup qualifier

Vietnam Television (VTV) on September 27 confirmed the official ownership of the broadcast rights for the Indonesia vs Vietnam clash within the framework of the second round of the 2022 World Cup AFC qualifiers.

According to the informed details, VTV has obtained the media rights monopoly in terms of television (terrestrial, cable TV, satellite and IPTV), radio and public screening across the Vietnamese territory. However, it does not have the exclusive rights to broadcast the match on mobile phones and on the internet (including OTT).

The World Cup qualifier between Indonesia and Vietnam (pictured) will be broadcast live on the VTV channels.

In addition, VTV has the rights to re-license the Indonesia vs Vietnam media copyright to third-party units within the Vietnamese territory, such as K+ or Vietnam Television Corporation (VTC).

Earlier, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and its affiliate Vietnam Television Corporation (VTC) acquired the broadcast rights for five matches of Park Hang-seo’s troops in the second round of the 2022 World Cup AFC qualifiers, including the two legs of the Vietnam-Thailand fixture on September 5 (away) and November 19 (home), and the three other home clashes between Vietnam and Malaysia (October 10), the United Arab Emirates (November 14) and Indonesia (June 4, 2020).

The Indonesia vs Vietnam match is scheduled to take place at Jakarta’s Bung Karno Stadium on October 15.
