Bac Ninh started strongly under coach Paulo Foiani, fielding their preferred attacking lineup and relying on the striker partnership of Ha Duc Chinh and Brazilian forward Kainã Nunes. At 1.96 m, Kainã provided an aerial threat and frequently challenged Van Hien’s defence, but several early chances went unrewarded.

Van Hien adopted a low defensive block and sought to hit on the break, limiting Bac Ninh’s openings through organised defending and quick counters. The pattern of play changed early in the second half after Bac Ninh made tactical substitutions to refresh their attack.

The deadlock was broken in the 69th minute. From a free kick by Le Sy Minh, Kainã rose to meet the delivery but his header was kept out, leaving the ball loose in the penalty area. Midfielder Phan Van Hieu reacted fastest, firing a low shot into the net to open the scoring.

The goal lifted Bac Ninh, who created further chances as Van Hien pushed forward in search of an equaliser late on, but the visitors held firm to preserve the slender lead. The match finished 1-0 in favour of Bac Ninh.

With the victory, Bac Ninh progress to the round of 16, where they will face Khatoco Khanh Hoa in the next stage of the LPBank National Cup qualifiers. The club will look to build on the result as it prepares for a tougher schedule in the coming weeks.
