Bac Ninh launches Hoang Ninh Ecolife social housing project

Updated: 17:13, 10/08/2025

BAC NINH – Hoang Ninh Group on August 9 broke ground on the Hoang Ninh Ecolife social housing project in Nam Ngan residential group, Nenh ward, Bac Ninh province. The ceremony was attended by senior provincial officials, including Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Communist Party Central Committee and provincial Party Secretary, and Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC).

Covering 2.65 hectares, the development will include three 18-storey buildings – two for social housing and one for commercial apartments – along with supporting facilities such as two four-storey parking structures, landscaped gardens, walking paths and green spaces.

Provincial leaders press the button to launch the project’s construction.

The project will supply 870 apartments with a total floor area of 63,270 square metres, comprising 670 social housing units and 200 commercial units.

It is designed to accommodate about 3,000 residents, with a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND (30.6 million USD). Completion is targeted for the end of 2026.

PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan speaks at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan reviewed Bac Ninh’s socio-economic achievements in the first seven months of 2025 and highlighted the province’s social housing development programme.

Between 2022 and 2030, Bac Ninh has been assigned by the government to build 147,000 social housing units, equivalent to 14.7% of the national target – a reflection of the province’s growth potential and population scale, he said.

The provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Gau visits the project’s model apartment.

The provincial leader noted the challenge of meeting this target, stressing the need for commitment from the political system.

The province has so far launched 71 projects on 255 hectares, which when completed will provide over 9.12 million square metres of housing floor space, equivalent to more than 102,000 apartments for 400,000 residents.

In the first half of 2025 alone, more than 8,000 units were completed, reaching 51% of the government’s annual goal.

To meet future targets, provincial departments were urged to continue surveying and planning new projects, apply “green lane” procedures to fast-track administrative processes and provide maximum support to investors.

Regarding Hoang Ninh Ecolife, the PPC Chairman praised the developer’s determination, local authorities’ engagement, and residents’ cooperation in site clearance. The inclusion of model apartments and social infrastructure in the early phase shows the project is well-planned to meet basic resident needs, he added.

Overall perspective of the project.

He called on the developer to focus resources on building a high-quality, safe and visually appealing project, aiming for completion by September 2, 2026 and operation the following month.

Banks and credit institutions were asked to facilitate access to preferential loans for the developer, while the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies should help eligible residents secure affordable mortgages.

Trade unions, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other organisations were encouraged to publicise the project to ensure qualified buyers are well-informed.
