Bac Ninh leader meets General Director of Samsung Vietnam
BAC NINH – On July 21, Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) met Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, to discuss the company’s operations.
At the reception, the PPC Chairman briefed the guest on the province’s expanded scale after recent administrative merger, with an area of 4,718.6 square kilometers, a population of over 3.6 million, and the fifth-largest economy nationwide.

In the first half of 2025, GDP growth of Bac Ninh province reached 10.47%, exports ranked second after Ho Chi Minh City, budget revenue topped 41 trillion VND and 33 industrial parks spanned nearly 10,000 ha.
He noted that 70% of Samsung Vietnam’s suppliers are in Bac Ninh, forming a robust ecosystem supporting its production and business.

He urged Samsung to expand investment, strengthen technology transfer to local firms, support global supply chain participation, and boost training of high-quality workforce through collaboration with local institutions.
The provincial leader suggested Samsung build an iconic tower in Bac Ninh, enhance ties with local business associations, care for workers’ welfare, and continue supporting education and social programmes.
Speaking at the event, General Director Na Ki Hong thanked provincial leaders, recalling Samsung’s expansion from one phone factory in Yen Phong Industrial Park No.1 in 2008 to three major projects: Samsung Display, Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDI.

Despite global economic volatility, Samsung recorded positive business results in the first half of this year. He also affirmed that Samsung has always received strong support and favourable conditions from the provincial leadership.
Considering that the success of businesses is also the success of the province, the provincial leader pledged to create favourable conditions for the company throughout its production and business activities in the locality.
