Under the agreement, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam will provide practical training equipment for the university’s automation lab and offer students internships at its production lines. Qualified graduates will also be considered for employment within the company.

The initiative is part of efforts to bridge academic training with real-world industrial needs and to promote technology transfer. It also aims to develop a sustainable pipeline of skilled technical workers for the region and the country at large.

Mitsubishi Electric is one of Japan’s largest multinational corporations, operating a network of around 1,700 subsidiaries in more than 90 countries and territories, with a workforce of over 86,000 employees.

In Vietnam, Mitsubishi Electric began operations in 1991, introducing a wide range of smart technologies to the local market. Over the past three decades, the group has expanded its portfolio to include infrastructure development, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of thermal power plants and a variety of industrial, textile and food products.

The new training partnership reflects Mitsubishi Electric’s long-term investment in Vietnam’s workforce and its commitment to building stronger industry-academia links. The move also aligns with broader national goals of enhancing the quality of vocational education and technical skills to meet the demands of Industry 4.0.
