Meanwhile, the Coop Star Awards recognised outstanding cooperative models with strong management capacity, efficient operations, and positive contributions to socio-economic development and improved incomes for members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung praised the efforts and achievements of the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance, its members, and the wider cooperative economic sector in recent years.
He hailed the award-winning cooperatives as exemplary models and key drivers in promoting innovation and creativity, digital transformation, green transformation, and the application of modern science and technology.
He called on ministries, sectors, localities, the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance, and its members to foster a spirit of initiative, self-reliance, and resilience in production and business activities.
They should accelerate digital and green transformation, applying science and technology, innovation, and creativity, he said, stressing that only products from cooperatives that are “clean, green, and responsible” will have a fair chance to compete in high-end markets such as the US, Europe, and Japan.
He also urged the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance to innovate its operational methods, engage more closely with grassroots and member cooperatives, and truly act as a “companion” — a solid bridge between the Party, the Government, and the cooperatives, as well as the collective economy.
