After 8 months, domestic budget revenue reached nearly 8.5 trillion VND. 7 out of the 15 revenue items exceeded the estimate assigned by the Central by 20 to over 109%.

Tran Van Dai, Head of the Management Division of Individual Business Households and other Revenues (provincial Tax Department) said: "By the end of August, the Tax sector collected more than 251 billion VND in land rent and water surface rent from businesses, households and individuals, exceeding 109 percent of the plan assigned by the Central and nearly 21 percent year on year. This result was gained thanks to the Tax sector's high concentration on collecting tax revenue, ensuring correct and complete collection as regulations as well as the tax payers strictly comply with their financial obligations to the State".

Tuta Group Joint Stock Company implemented a high-end urban area and entertainment project (Project) in the Southern Urban Area in Tan Tien Commune (Bac Giang City) with a high budget payment from land rent. According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, this enterprise was allowed to lease more than 16,700 square meters of land to build such Project with a total one-time payment of more than 92.6 billion VND.

Similarly, Van Phu - Invest Investment Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) also strictly complied with the payment of land rent to implement the investment project to build Song Khe - Noi Hoang apartment, commercial and service area on total area of more than 15,000 square meters. Accordingly, at the beginning of this year, enterprises paid full one-time land rent of more than 85.3 billion VND.

Not only land and water surface rent revenue reached high, the collection from mineral exploitation rights in the past 8 months hit 23.5 billion VND in the province, exceeding 96 percent of this year's estimate and increasing by 12.5 billion VND compared to the same period last year.

In addition, the revenues from non-agricultural land use; enterprises with foreign investment capital; dividends and after-tax profits; public land fund and others exceeded the target.

Strictly control each tax

This high results are a positive signal to help the province increase investment resources for socio-economic development. This year's budget collection work faced many difficulties and challenges because the production and business activities are continuously affected after the pandemic.

To complete the assigned targets for many taxes, since early this year, the Tax sector has developed a specific plan and implemented a series of collection measures.

The Provincial Tax Department has closely followed the Government's Resolution, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 on the task of budget collection to direct professional departments and regional tax divisions to organize collection.

In order to avoid loss of budget revenue, the Provincial Tax Department focuses on inspection, examination and tax declaration for taxpayers together with strictly controls taxes. In particular, the Department has reviewed and focused on urging and encouraging businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic to declare and pay taxes on time. At the same time, the tax sector pays due attention to solving difficulties for the business community.

The Provincial Tax Department thoroughly exploits the revenue from the land fund for the implementation of projects in urban areas, residential areas, real estate transfer, fee for granting mineral exploitation rights at licensed mines.

To restrict business with tax arrears, the Tax Department developed a specific debt collection plan; reviewed and classified debt; assigned monthly debt collection targets to each division and each officer to analyze, evaluate and propose measures to collect and enforce tax debt.

The Tax sector makes public and transparent administrative procedures, supports taxpayers to use electronic tax payment software to shorten the time.

According to the Provincial Tax Department, this year, although the province's budget collection has encountered many difficulties, the Tax sector has been striving to exceed the assigned revenue estimate. It is estimated that by the end of this year, the province's domestic budget revenue will reach nearly 11.8 trillion VND, exceeding the estimate assigned by the Central over 9 percent.

Taxation sector’s budget revenue reaches 36.6 billion USD in 7 months
