Though the Action month for the poor in 2020 was launched in parallel with the campaign to call for donation for the flood victims in the Central region, the result at three levels in the province was high. 

Particularly, the Fund for the poor in province level received more than 1.9 billion VND, in district level received over 5 billion VND and communal level received nearly 6 billion VND. Total donation hit more than 13 billion VND, up 5 billion VND comparing to the figure in 2019.

Several big donors included Luxshare – ICT Company Limited (200 million VND), Vina Solar Technology Company Limited (200 million VND), provincial Public Security (180 million VND), Crystal Martin Vietnam Company Limited (100 million VND), FFC in Luc Ngan district (over 1 billion VND), FFC in Bac Giang city (over 600 million VND)...

The fund will be used to build and repair great unity houses, present gifts on Lunar New Year holiday as well as varieties and seedlings for production; provide emergency aids and scholarships to impoverished cases, orphan, poor and near poor households in the province.

Bac Giang makes efforts for poor people, flood victims

(BGO) - These days, agencies, units, localities, organizations and individuals in Bac Giang province are actively mobilizing resources for the provincial Fund for the Poor and people in central flood-hit areas. The activities are in response to the Peak Month for the Poor 2020 (from October 17 to November 18) and the Social Security Programme 2021.

(BGO) – On October 20, the Office of the provincial Party Committee (PPC) in Bac Giang province and the departments of Party Building held a ceremony to call for donation for the flood victims in the Central region. The event was attended by the Member of the Central Party Committee, former PPC Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Van Hai. 

Bac Giang launches Action month for the poor: Organization and agencies register to donate over 64 billion VND

(BGO) – The Fatherland Front’s Committee (FFC) in Bac Giang province on October 19 held a launching ceremony for the Action month for the poor in 2020 (from October 17 to November 18) and Social Welfare Programme 2021. Launching the event, the provincial FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang expressed on the difficulties and challenges in 2020 for Bac Giang province and the country due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
