Bac Ninh launches Student Skills Training and Development Center project

BAC NINH– Bac Ninh province on August 19 launched a project to build a Student Training and Skills Development Center, underscoring the province’s ambition to integrate modern education with cultural preservation and workforce development.

The ceremony in Vo Cuong ward was attended by Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee (PPC), together with local leaders and sector representatives. The project is invested by HVS Education and Training Development Company.

Covering 9.2 hectares with an investment of more than 352.5 billion VND (nearly 15.5million USD), the center aims to become a modern education hub combining science training, life skills, and vocational programs for students.

The site is strategically located with wide access roads and parking facilities to host large-scale activities and connect with surrounding infrastructure.

The complex will feature five main functional zones forming an integrated education ecosystem.

These include a science and technology area introducing STEM and STEAM learning; a traditional craft training space simulating local handicraft villages; a hands-on agriculture zone offering farming and nature experiences; a physical training and community space; and a central zone for cultural and educational events.

The project emphasizes four core values: creating a high-quality learning environment, fostering life skills and creativity, offering hands-on experiences, and preserving traditional culture while contributing to local socio-economic development and raising Bac Ninh’s profile on the national education map.

Speaking at the event, PPC Deputy Secretary Nguyen Huong Giang said the project represents both gratitude to history and a strategic vision for combining economic growth with building a skilled workforce.

She urged the investor and related units to ensure timely, high-quality construction, while calling on communities, families, and businesses to join efforts in creating the best learning environment for youth.

The center is expected to become a flagship educational project in Bac Ninh and part of a series of works marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on Sept. 2.
