Updated: 14:42, 08/09/2025

BAC NINH - Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee on September 9 morning chaired a meeting to hasten the progress of major projects in the southern Cau River area.

Held at the Kinh Bac ward People's Committee headquarters, the meeting reviewed updates on detailed 1/500 planning, investment project proposals, and land clearance and compensation efforts for three major urban development zones.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan speaks at the meeting.

They include a 277-ha new urban area in the northwest of the former Bac Ninh city (now Kinh Bac ward), a 199-ha urban and ecological tourism zone in the former Tu Son city (now Subzone 112.3, Tam Son ward), and a 299-ha new urban and ecological tourism area in the former Tien Du district (now Subzone 112.1, Tien Du commune).

At the meeting, delegates discussed ongoing challenges and proposed solutions to accelerate land clearance, seen as the primary bottleneck in advancing these large-scale projects. Efficient site clearance is expected to stimulate urban growth and socio-economic development in the province.

Chairman Tuan emphasised the strategic significance of the three projects, reaffirming that land clearance is the top priority. He called on local authorities to treat it as a central task and assigned specific responsibilities to relevant departments.

Local authorities must step up communication efforts to build public consensus and cooperation, the Department of Agriculture and Environment must compile and submit clearance-related recommendations, while the Department of Construction must expedite evaluation and issue notices on technical infrastructure designs by September 20.

An overview of the meeting.

He asked the Department of Finance to provide guidance on funding allocation and budget planning for project management units, the Department of Home Affairs to propose an inter-agency coordination mechanism and project execution framework by September 30,

Project investors were required to collaborate closely with local authorities to fulfill commitments, deploy sufficient human and material resources, and ensure synchronised implementation.

The provincial leader reiterated the importance of streamlining procedures, maintaining project momentum, and ensuring effective coordination among all stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
