Key projects to drive Bac Ninh growth
BAC NINH - In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025), the Government on August 19 inaugurated and broke ground on a series of major national projects, including several located in Bac Ninh province. These projects are expected to become major driving forces for the province’s robust development in the years ahead.
Among the projects launched during this national celebration is the Gia Binh International Airport and a road linking it to Hanoi.

Covering nearly 1,960 hectares and classified as a 4E-grade international airport, Gia Binh is designed to accommodate the world’s most advanced aircraft.
By 2030, it will have an annual capacity of 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo, increasing to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
The 45-km, 120m-wide road connecting Gia Binh airport to Hanoi will ensure seamless regional integration, positioning Bac Ninh as a new strategic hub for aviation, commerce, and logistics.
In addition, Bac Ninh province also inaugurated Campus No 2 of the Hanoi Law University, located in Dong Nguyen ward. Covering nearly 28 hectares and with a total investment of nearly 1.8 trillion VND (68.44 million USD), the campus can accommodate more than 10,000 students.

It features modern infrastructure including lecture halls, a digital library, dormitories, sports facilities, and student service areas.
Other notable projects inaugurated are the Que Vo Hillvie Social Housing Complex and the new campus of the Bac Giang High School for the Gifted in Bac Giang ward.
A groundbreaking ceremony was also held for the Student Training and Skill Development Centre in Vo Cuong ward.
These events not only commemorate the historic anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day but also mark a new chapter in Bac Ninh’s growth trajectory.
