Bac Ninh strengthens friendship with Laos’ Xaysomboun province
BAC NINH – A delegation from the People's Court of Laos’ Xaysomboun province led by Acting Chief Justice Khamphay Xaynhasouk on July 16 paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Bac Ninh province. Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, welcomed the delegation.
During the meeting, Khamphay Xaynhasouk congratulated Bac Ninh on its recent administrative merger (the former Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces were merged into the new Bac Ninh province), marking a new phase of development with stronger potential.

He expressed his deep gratitude for the practical support that Bac Ninh's Party Committee and administration have extended to Xaysomboun in recent years.

He also expressed his hope that the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Bac Ninh and Xaysomboun in particular will continue to flourish.
In his remarks, Gau briefed the delegation on the administrative restructuring process in Vietnam and Bac Ninh in particular, and shared highlights of the province’s socio-economic development in the first half of the year.

He affirmed that following the administrative merger, Bac Ninh remains committed to maintaining and further developing its twinning relationship with Xaysomboun.
He also expressed his hope that the leaders of the People's Court of Xaysomboun would continue to promote close cooperation between the two provinces in the time ahead.
