Bac Ninh wins 11 medals at national junior badminton championships
BAC NINH - Young badminton players from Bac Ninh delivered a strong performance at the 2026 National Junior Badminton Championships, held in Da Nang, winning 11 medals and finishing fourth in the overall medal standings.
The provincial team, comprising 45 athletes (26 men and 19 women), secured two gold medals, one silver and eight bronze medals during the tournament.

The standout performer was Tran Bao Nhi, who claimed the girls' U11 singles title before teaming up with Than Huyen Trang to win a second gold medal in the girls' U11 doubles event.
The two gold medals played a key role in placing Bac Ninh among the tournament's top-performing teams.
In addition to the gold medals, Bac Ninh's athletes earned one silver and eight bronze medals, highlighting the depth of the province's youth badminton development programme.
The result lifted Bac Ninh above several traditionally strong badminton localities, with the team finishing fourth behind Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Dong Nai.
The 2026 National Junior Badminton Championships were held from June 20 to June 27 and jointly organised by the Vietnam Sports Authority, the Vietnam Badminton Federation, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and DonexGroup JSC.
The tournament attracted nearly 600 athletes from 27 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide, competing in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles across age groups ranging from U9 to U17.
