Thousands of students experience traditional Tet
The youth union of Dinh Ke ward collaborated with Dinh Ke primary school to organise the Programme “Reunited Tet – love sharing” on 20 January with participation of more than 1,000 students, teachers and students’ parents.

After the special art programme with the songs of spring, the students of groups 3, 4 and 5 learned about the tradition of Tet such as Tet customs, popular dishes and fruits.
Besides, they had opportunity to learn how to wrap banh chung with sticky rice, green bean, pork and wrapping leaves (dong leaves).

On this occasion, the youth union and youth federation of Dinh Ke ward presented 10 gift packages to needy students in the locality.
*Previously on 19 January, Le Loi kindergarten in Bac Giang city held “Kids’ Tet fair” attracting participation of a large number of children and their parents.

In line with exciting art and dragon dance performances, the children experienced many other activities like making to he (toy figurines) and banh chung. On this occasion, the parents’ association and some enterprises gave many gifts to needy students.

At some schools as Dong Lac primary school in Yen The district and Nguyen Hong high school in Bac Giang city, the students enjoyed Lunar New Year festival with a number of activities including banh chung making contest, Tet dishes table decorating contest and calligraphy performance.
These activities contribute to educating about Vietnamese fine cultural tradition while creating a useful playground and raising the community spirit on Tet occasion.
