Bac Ninh focuses investment on high-value agricultural zones
BAC NINH - On November 18, Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee (PPC), inspected several key agricultural production models in Tan Yen and Phuc Hoa communes.
The delegation visited the Danh mountain ginseng cultivation model operated by Duc Hanh Danh Mountain Ginseng Cooperative in Hau hamlet, as well as concentrated guava and lychee production areas in Hoa Minh and Lan Thinh hamlets.

Phuc Hoa commune currently has 74 hectares of Danh mountain ginseng under cultivation. Duc Hanh Cooperative manages 5 hectares, including 4 hectares grown organically with biological products and without plant-protection chemicals since 2022.
The cooperative’s total linked area stands at 15 hectares involving 30 participating households.
At the cooperative, the PPC Secretary Thai praised the collective effort of local farmers in preserving, restoring and developing Danh mountain ginseng, a medicinal plant of significant cultural and economic value to Bac Ninh.

He noted the cooperative’s organic production practices and use of biotechnology to maintain sustainable growing areas. The cooperative has also collaborated with scientists and research institutes to standardize production processes and ensure product quality.
It has developed a diverse product line including SADUHA tea, ginseng flower tea, lychee–ginseng honey, ginseng liquor and ginseng extract with improved packaging, stable quality and strong market demand.
The provincial Party Chief called this an appropriate and innovative development approach. He requested the provincial agriculture sector, together with relevant departments and local authorities, to promptly study and establish a provincial-level development plan for Danh mountain ginseng, with the goal of building a recognized provincial and national brand.
Beyond ginseng, Phuc Hoa commune also grows 178 hectares of guava with an average annual output of over 8,000 tonnes, and 858 hectares of lychee producing around 13,000 tonnes, more than 90% of which is early-harvest lychee.

During his visit to the guava and lychee growing areas, the provincial leader commended local farmers for their creativity and efficiency in production and market linkage.
He urged sectors and localities to attract more enterprises to invest in agriculture, promote deep-processing technologies, and enhance the economic value of farming areas.
After the field inspection, he held a working session with leaders of the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Tan Yen and Phuc Hoa communes.
