Bac Ninh maximises resources, strives to achieve growth targets for 2025
BAC NINH - The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province on November 4 held its regular meeting for October. Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternative member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, presided over the event.
Recently, despite being heavily affected by Typhoons Bualo and Matmo, the entire province has made efforts to overcome the consequences of the natural disasters and stabilise the lives of the people. The socio-economic situation in October remained stable, with many sectors achieving positive results.

The industrial production index increased by 20.84% in October and 16.45% year-on-year in the first 10 months. Trade, services, and import-export activities continued to maintain growth. Bac Ninh has consistently maintained its leading position in the country in terms of import-export turnover since August.
Regarding investment attraction, the province attracted approximately 16.2 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the 10 months, ranking second nationwide in FDI attraction.
For public investment disbursement, Bac Ninh remained in the top 5 provinces with the highest disbursement rates in the country. By the end of November 30, the disbursement rate reached 65.5% of the provincial plan and 81.1% of the plan set by the Prime Minister.
Cultural and social activities continued to be implemented comprehensively and effectively. By the end of October, the province created new jobs for 46,800 workers.
Administrative reforms and the building of administration in combination with digital transformation was focused on. Bac Ninh maintained its top position nationwide in terms of leadership, governance, and service quality for the people and businesses.
Tuan emphasised that the fourth quarter is a crucial period to achieve the goals set for 2025. Despite facing challenges, there are also many opportunities as businesses accelerate growth and stimulate demand for the end of the year.
Therefore, sectors and localities must make the highest efforts, closely follow the goals in each sector, and strive to achieve the provincial growth target of at least 11.5% as assigned by the Government.
The chairman of the provincial People's Committee required each sector and locality to implement solutions, especially those that promote industrial production growth, urban development, trade, services, and post-disaster agricultural recovery. Administrative reform and digital transformation must also be given special attention.
He asked for urgent measures in November to repair the dyke system in the province and ensure the completion of these projects before the 2026 rainy and storm season.
He also emphasised speeding up the implementation of key projects, including the Gia Binh International Airport and roads from the airport to Hanoi and to Kenh Vang Bridge.
Social welfare policies should be well implemented, and year-end events like the Fruit Festival should be organised effectively to create widespread impact.
