Bac Ninh honors top students and artist for outstanding achievements
BAC NINH - The People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province (PPC) held a ceremony on July 29 to commend students who won regional and international Olympic medals, national high school graduation exam top scorer and a student artist who won a gold award at the Asian Art Festival.
In 2025, Bac Ninh’s specialized education sector made significant strides, recording impressive results at various national and international academic competitions.

At the 2024–2025 National Excellent Student Competition, Bac Ninh’s education sector—now comprising both the former Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces—ranked among the top nationwide with 180 out of 206 candidates winning awards, including 17 first prizes.
Six students from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted participated in international and regional Olympiads, earning notable achievements, including Ngo Quang Minh (gold medal at International Chemistry Olympiad), Nguyen Cong Vinh (silver medal at International Physics Olympiad, gold medal at Asian Physics Olympiad), Truong Thanh Xuan (bronze medal at International Mathematics Olympiad), Nguyen Tran Hieu and Ha Tuan Kiet (gold medal and Certificate of Merit at European Physics Olympiad).

In the 2025 national high school graduation exam, Bac Ninh ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities in average test scores. Notably, the province led the nation in Biology exam scores for the first time. A total of 880 perfect scores were recorded across all subjects.
Nguyen Quang Minh, a student at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, achieved a perfect 30/30 score in the A00 subject combination, becoming the national valedictorian. The province’s preliminary graduation rate reached 99.46%.
At the 2025 Asian Art Festival held in Singapore, Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, a native of Thuan Thanh ward and a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, won the Gold Cup in the professional vocal category.
Recognizing these exceptional accomplishments, the provincial government awarded Certificates of Merit to five students who earned medals at Asian, European, and international Olympiads, to top scorer Nguyen Quang Minh, and to singer Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc.

The PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan extended his congratulations to the honored students and artist, emphasizing their contributions to the province’s academic and cultural achievements.
He affirmed the province’s continued commitment to supporting the education sector, particularly through infrastructure development, teacher training, and special policies for teachers and high-achieving students.
The provincial leader expressed confidence that the recognized individuals will continue to apply their talents and intellect in future endeavors, contributing to the sustainable development of Bac Ninh in the new era and living up to the expectations of local leaders and citizens.
