Bac Ninh provides more benefits to retain workers
BAC NINH – In the context of intense labour competition, retaining workers is very important for enterprises to stabilize the workforce and develop production. To that end, many companies in northern province of Bac Ninh have continuously improved welfare to motivate workers to dedicate their efforts to the companies.
Good salary, competitive remunerations and benefits

In line with attractive policies to lure new workers, the company strives to ensure good salary, allowances and provide adequate benefits to retain about 10,000 experienced workers.
With the motto “workers are fundamental for sustainable development”, the company increased the workers’ basic salary rate (up to 5.8 million VND (219.5 USD) per month on average) since early this year.
Besides, workers are paid allowances including attendance, transportation, housing, productivity bonus and new-hire bonus, ensuring an average total income of 13 million VND (492 USD) per each.
For stable workforce, the Board of Directors has provided the policy “Bonus for workers who continue staying with the company” since July 1.
Accordingly, all garment workers working until the end of October 31 will be bonused 4 million VND (151.4 USD), paid on November 10 (the October payroll period). A bonus of 3 million VND (113.5 USD) will be applied to other workers (assistant workers).
Since coming into operation in 2009, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company Limited (SEV factory) in Yen Phong industrial park (IP) has created stable jobs for over 12,000 workers with an average income of 9.7 million VND (367 USD) per month.
In line with the efforts to secure jobs and stable income for workers, the company leaders and trade union have consistently strived to build a generous welfare system to encourage long-term commitment from employees.
A number of prominent activities received active participation from workers such as mini games celebrating the debut of new products with attractive prizes; monthly “Sport Day” events, a reading day for trade union members at the dormitory and gift-giving for workers on holiday and New Year occasions.
Notably, with the proportion of female workers making up for 70% of the workforce, the company has provided priority policies and special support to ensure optimal working and resting conditions for pregnant and childcare workers.
For workers’ readiness to dedicate
Bac Ninh province is home to about 28,400 ongoing enterprises, creating jobs for more than 766,100 labourers, 70 percent of whom are working in 32 industrial parks across the province.

In recent years, the average salary increases from 6 to 10 percent annually, especially it reached 8.4 million VND (317.8 USD) per month in 2024.
Almost of the enterprises strictly abide by regulations on labour, pay attention to improving working environment and arrange human resources to apply better welfare policies for workers.
After streamlining its organizational structure, the Bac Ninh provincial Confederation of Labour now manages more than 2,200 grassroots trade unions in enterprises and non-budget-funded public service units, with a total membership of over 579,500. Among these, there are over 1,500 grassroots trade unions in the industrial parks with more than 392,000 members.
Building harmonious labour relations is not only a key solution but also a strategic goal for businesses aiming to stabilize production and achieve sustainable development.
It also serves as a benchmark for assessing a company’s social responsibility and its ability to build trust and brand reputation with customers, according to Thach Van Chung, Vice Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Fron Committee and President of the provincial Confederation of Labour,
To that end, there is no other way for businesses than consistently taking good care of their workers and regarding them as valuable assets.
Since 2018, the provincial Confederation of Labour has honored hundreds of “Outstanding Enterprises for Workers” for their efforts in employee welfare.
Several companies have won this title twice or more such as Newwing Interconnect Technology in Van Trung IP, Haem Vina Company Limited in Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company Limited in Yen Phong IP and Yokoi Mould Vietnam Company Limited in Dinh Tram IP.
