Updated: 09:17, 12/08/2025

BAC NINH- Despite the hot weather on the days of August, the key traffic projects in northern province of Bac Ninh are still in bustling working atmosphere. The engineers and workers are working hard with construction work, even working over time and overnight to speed up the progress to soon complete the projects.

These days, at the construction site of the belt road No 4 in the capital region, the section crossing Bac Ninh province, hundreds of vehicles and machines are busy from early morning until late night.

The contractors reinforce machinery and workers to construct the belt road No 4 – in the capital region, the section crossing Bac Ninh province.

This is a national key project at a length of over 112 km, with a total investment of 86 trillion VND (3.2 billion USD). The section crossing Bac Ninh province is 35.5km in length running through the wards of Thuan Thanh and Que Vo and Gia Binh commune with an allocated budget of 5.2 trillion VND (198.2 million USD).

Once completed, this road will provide fast connections to Noi Bai airport, key industrial parks and sea ports in northern Vietnam.

Following the principle “wherever the land is ready, construction will be commenced,” the bidding packages No 14, 15, and 16 of the project have been implemented simultaneously, with nearly 40% of the total construction volume executed.

In order to accelerate the progress, the Bac Ninh Project Management Board for Transport and Agriculture No. 2 has directed contractors to carry out construction on 3 continuous shifts.

Nearly 360 engineers and workers and hundreds of machines are working at the construction site.

At the same time, at the construction site of the new Cam Ly bridge single unit and the overpass on the Kep – Ha Long railway (Cam Ly bridge), the contractors are also mobilising machinery and human resources to accelerate the progress, striving to complete and bring the project into operation ahead of schedule.

Other key traffic projects including Kenh Vang bridge and its 2 leading paths in Gia Binh and Luong Tai communes, the lengthened provincial road 293 (the section from Bac Lung intersection to Nghia Phuong commune), the new Xuong Giang bridge single unit in Bac Giang ward and the new road linking the provincial road 292 with An Ha industrial park in Tien Luc commune and the northeastern ring road in Bac Giang ward are being accelerated.

The province is reported to have about 30 provincial-level key traffic projects with a total investment of trillions of VND from the state budget.

These are the traffic routes connecting among different areas in the province and linking with neighbouring provinces, which help to promote investment attraction and socio-economic development in the locality.

Cam Ly bridge is being accelerated the construction progress.

In order to timely complete the projects and promote their efficiency, since early this year the provincial People’s Committee directed investors to closely collaborate with the localities to highly concentrate on removing obstacles facing each project and speed up land clearance progress.

In line with the mentioned measures, the investors sent supervisors to closely follow up each project and accelerate contractors to speed up the progress and ensure quality of every item.

In order to ensure the projects are completed on and ahead schedules, Nguyen Xuan Duong, Director of the Bac Ninh Project Management Board for Transport and Agriculture No. 2 said this unit requested the contractors to commit speeding up the progress while reinforcing facilities and human resources to arrange into different construction teams.

Besides, workers and engineers were encouraged to work during weekends and holidays and work over time to catch up with the progress.
