Updated: 15:40, 07/08/2025

BAC NINH – Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh People’s Committee (PPC) Ngo Tan Phuong on August 6 led a delegation of provincial department leaders to inspect the construction progress of the Ring Road 4 – Hanoi Capital Region project and the Kenh Vang Bridge project, which connects Bac Ninh with Hai Duong Province (now Hai Phong City).

According to provincial authorities, land clearance for the Bac Ninh section of Ring Road 4 has reached 373.93 out of 374 hectares, or 99.98%. Only 695 square meters remain uncleared due to unresolved household property issues.

PPC Vice Chairman Phuong emphasized the national significance of the project, which plays a key role in the province’s socio-economic development.

He urged stakeholders to adhere to the government's schedule, noting that Bac Ninh has allocated sufficient resources to ensure completed construction volumes are promptly appraised and settled.

He called on the project investor to direct contractors to speed up execution based on contractual terms and promptly process payments in accordance with the provincial government’s plan.

The Kenh Vang Bridge project has a total route length of 13.396 km, including a 743-meter bridge span.

With total investment of nearly 2.2 trillion VND (96.1 million USD), the project is scheduled to be completed between 2021 and 2027. It consists of two bidding packages: Package No. 14 has reached 29.9% of construction volume, while Package No. 15 is at 6.6%.

The Bac Ninh Project Management Board for Transport and Agriculture No. 2 has requested support from the provincial government and relevant departments in completing land clearance, finalizing procedures for converting embankment materials and identifying additional sources of supply.

Following an on-site inspection, PPC Vice Chairman Phuong instructed the investor to continue working closely with Trung Kenh commune and Hai Phong authorities to raise public awareness and encourage cooperation in handing over land.

He also called for regular updates to input material prices as a legal basis for cost management.

For contractors, he demanded increased mobilization of manpower and resources to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality construction. He stressed the importance of immediate submission of payment documentation upon completion of work, in order to avoid year-end backlog.
