Updated: 15:47, 01/08/2025

BAC NINH – The Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh People’s Committee (PPC) and Head of the province’s National Assembly delegation Pham Van Thinh on July 31 joined a livestream sales session for local agricultural products in Phuc Hoa commune — marking the second time he has appeared live to promote regional produce since June.

The livestream, held at Tien Son communal yard, was attended by representatives from the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Phuc Hoa commune authorities, agricultural cooperatives including Duc Hanh Danh Mountain Ginseng and Quyen Phong Agriculture as well as experienced TikTok sellers. The event drew strong interest from local residents, businesspeople and cooperative members.

Other items included Phon Nhi honey, white rice noodles, multicoloured rice noodles, dried lychees and Chau Son noodles.

All products showcased were locally sourced, produced using modern technology and met food safety standards. Many are known for their health benefits and nutritional value.

Speaking during the event, PPC Vice Chairman emphasized Bac Ninh’s rich agricultural heritage, naming specialties such as lychees, Danh Mountain ginseng, guavas, rice noodles and honey.

He noted that many of these items have been certified under the national One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme and are being exported to markets including the United States, Japan, South Korea and Australia.

The livestream attracts significant attention from customers nationwide.

The livestream was part of Bac Ninh’s broader efforts to diversify sales channels for local produce. In addition to traditional markets, supermarkets and trade centers, the province has prioritized digital sales through e-commerce platforms and social media networks such as TikTok, Zalo and Facebook.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has hosted several online sales initiatives, with livestreaming emerging as a key tool to connect producers with consumers.

The provincial leader’s participation in these events reflects the local government’s hands-on approach to boosting market access for farmers and cooperatives.

The PPC Vice Chairman highlighted the symbolic setting of the livestream in a rural village communal space, saying it underlined the goal of connecting traditional culture with digital commerce.

“This is not just about selling farm products,” he said, “but also about spreading the spirit of innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship and helping producers embrace the digital economy.”

The livestream event promoting local agricultural products draw strong interest from businesses, cooperatives and local residents.

He added that the initiative aligns with Bac Ninh’s strategy to develop experience-based tourism by inviting customers to visit farms, engage in agricultural processes and deepen their connection with Vietnamese rural life.

“We aim to bring the market to people’s homes and bring customers into the gardens,” he said, noting that this model helps raise the value of local produce and supports sustainable rural development.

The livestream campaign received enthusiastic engagement from young content creators, businesses and local residents, with many visitors also exploring an on-site display of key agricultural products from Phuc Hoa commune.
