Bac Ninh province identifies the US as a highly important partner in cooperation and investment attraction, as it is home to many of the world’s leading corporations and a major export market for both Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular.

In the coming period, through the embassy’s bridging role and the support of the commercial, investment, and agricultural counselors, Bac Ninh expects to welcome major US enterprises to explore investment opportunities, boost cooperation, and transfer technology in the province.

Huong proposed that the embassy continue supporting efforts to attract US businesses and investors to Bac Ninh for investment cooperation, as well as assist with promotion, connectivity, and trade facilitation activities.

In recent years, trade relations between Bac Ninh province and US partners have shown significant progress. Import-export turnover reached 22.3 billion USD in 2025, including nearly 20 billion USD in exports.

Currently, Bac Ninh hosts 27 US-invested projects with total registered capital of 250 million USD. Regarding lychee exports, fresh lychees from the province have already entered the American market.

The province is also attracting US investors to build agricultural processing plants locally, with the expectation of further expanding exports of lychee and other potential agricultural products to the US.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung expressed his impression of the remarkable achievements attained by Bac Ninh province in recent years. He also highly appreciated the province’s proactive efforts in trade and investment promotion activities.

In particular, the delegation’s visit to the US contributes to strengthening local cooperation as well as promoting and attracting trade and investment cooperation for the province, especially at a time when Vietnam–US relations can be considered the strongest they have ever been, he noted.

The ambassador affirmed that Bac Ninh’s significant potential and advantages provide favourable conditions for promoting cooperation. He also suggested that the province continue paying greater attention to expanding local cooperation with several US states.
