Local farmers typically harvest the fruit early in the morning and bring it to a central collection point in Nghia Phuong. Traders from various provinces such as Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and Hanoi arrive with trucks to purchase the fruit directly.
According to surveys, early-season custard apples are being sold at an average price of over 40,000 VND per kilogram – about 5,000 VND higher than last year – bringing significant income to local growers.
A standout factor contributing to this success has been the effective application of scientific and technological advances. The remaining flowers are treated to bear fruit off-season, with harvests stretching into November and December.
