Nguyen Duy Tuyen wins gold at 2025 Asian Pencak Silat Championship
BAC NINH – Nguyen Duy Tuyen, a martial artist from Bac Ninh province, has claimed the gold medal in the men’s 85 kg category at the 9th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2025, held in Ha Tinh province. This marks his third career gold at the continental level, further affirming his reputation on both regional and global stages.
The tournament took place from July 24 to 30, bringing together nearly 400 athletes and coaches from 10 countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Athletes competed across 32 medal events, divided into two main categories: "tanding" (combat) and "seni" (artistic performance).
More than a high-level sporting event, the championship also served as a platform for promoting cultural exchange, friendship and sportsmanship among Asian nations.
Vietnam emerged as the overall champion of the tournament, topping the medal tally with 17 golds, 4 silvers, and 7 bronzes.
