Bac Ninh launches Vu Ninh – Bac Giang electric bus route
BAC NINH - Bac Ninh province on August 22 inaugurated the new Vu Ninh – Bac Giang electric bus service, the first green transport line in the locality. The service, coded BN-E18, will officially begin operations on September 1, 2025, operated by Thao Manh Transport Trading Co., Ltd.
The route runs 33.8 km between Kinh Bac Cultural Center in Vu Ninh ward and Bac Ninh Bus Station No.1 in Bac Giang ward, with 64 trips per day.

Operating hours extend 14 hours daily, with buses departing from 5:15 a.m. in Vu Ninh and 6:30 a.m. from Bac Ninh Bus Station No.1, and final services at 7:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.
VinFast electric buses with more than 61 seats will operate at intervals of 10-15 minutes during peak hours and 20-25 minutes off-peak. Ticket prices will be gradually adjusted over the next 10 years, starting from 18,000 VND for short trips and 30,000 VND for the full route, with discounted monthly passes available.
Ahead of official launch, passengers will enjoy free rides from August 25 to 29, twice daily between 6-8 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan emphasized that the new route is not only a milestone for public transport infrastructure but also significant as Bac Ninh and Bac Giang merge into a new province.
He stressed that green buses are an inevitable trend, helping reduce pollution, improve air quality, and support sustainable development.
The project underscores Bac Ninh’s commitment to green mobility and inter-provincial connectivity, offering more convenient travel for workers, officials, and residents commuting long distances after the merger of the two provinces.
