To date, about 1.9 trillion VND (72.013 million USD) has been paid in advance to 4,054 households for a total of 636.89 hectares.
Resettlement and relocation of cemeteries have been implemented in Trung Chinh and Luong Tai communes with a total area of 263.8 hectares.
The localities met with residents, reviewed, verified landowners and made compensation plans.
From practical implementation, the participants asked the provincial departments and agencies to promptly develop and submit for approval of related plannings and advise on the issuance of appropriate regulations to each specific group.
Concluding the meeting, PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan stressed land clearance for Gia Binh international airport and other auxiliary projects is the province’s most important task at present.
All local governments, especially the heads, need to clarify their duties and follow up daily progress. For the tasks that are behind schedule, it is necessary to develop plans to make up for the lost time. The provincial leaders are always willing to accompany the localities.
The PPC Chairman requested the highest concentration on land clearance, especially agricultural land, which is expected to complete no later than November 30 with a focus on the land area for airport construction, radial road, technical infrastructure and the new concentrated cemetery area in the form of a memorial park.
The land clearance in these areas has been well implemented so far but it is necessary to gain consensus on handling the remaining area related to interspersed land.
The PPC Chairman urged to complete land clearance for the resettlement area by December 15. Besides, he requested the investor to closely collaborate with focal agencies of the localities.
Local governments need to continue supporting people affected by land recovery and site clearance.
The provincial Land Fund Development Center was urged to review and mobilise human resources for the project.
On this occasion, the working delegation surveyed the area for implementation of Gia Binh international airport projects.
