Agriculture accounted for $34.24 billion after rising by 15%.

The average price of coffee shipments rose by 40% to $5,667 per ton, with Germany, Italy and Spain being the main destinations.

Fruit and vegetable exports were up nearly 20% at $7.91 billion amid strong demand from China and the U.S.

While cashew and pepper exports also increased, some other key products faced headwinds.

Rice shipments plummeted 27.7% to $3.83 billion amid rising competition. Tea and rubber exports were also down as demand weakened.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien said recently that exports of agriculture, forestry and fisheries could be worth around $70 billion this year.

The government aims to develop agriculture under green, organic and circular models, protecting natural resource and biodiversity, and create stronger regional linkages, he added.
