The funding, announced during a ceremony on May 9 attended by Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh and Goertek Vina General Director Jiang Hong Zhai, aims to strengthen local scholarship and educational support programmes.

Under the initiative, each locality will receive 400 million VND to assist disadvantaged students, reward high academic achievers and promote lifelong learning campaigns at the grassroots level.

Local officials said education promotion movements in recent years had included scholarships for outstanding students, support for poor students overcoming hardship and initiatives encouraging “learning families” and “learning communities.”

However, they noted that expanding such programmes still required greater support from businesses and social organizations.

Speaking at the event, Jiang Hong Zhai said Goertek Vina had consistently prioritized corporate social responsibility alongside its manufacturing and business operations, particularly in education and workforce development.

He said the company hoped the financial support would help improve learning conditions for students and motivate them to continue striving in both study and life.

“Investment in education is investment in sustainable development for the future,” Jiang said, while also thanking Bac Ninh authorities for supporting the company’s stable development over the past 13 years.

Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh praised Goertek Vina’s contributions to local education and social welfare programmes, highlighting Bac Ninh’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence.

He said cooperation from the business community played an important role in mobilizing additional resources to improve education quality and develop skilled human resources for the province.

The provincial leader also urged local authorities to ensure the funding would be used effectively and directed toward the right beneficiaries, especially disadvantaged students and practical education promotion activities with broad community impact.

Local representatives expressed gratitude for the attention and support from provincial leaders and businesses, affirming that the funding would be managed and used effectively to improve the quality of study promotion, talent encouragement and the development of a learning society at the grassroots level.

The support programme once again highlighted the close coordination between local authorities and enterprises in advancing education, helping spread the spirit of lifelong learning and encouraging students to strive in their studies and personal development to become a high-quality workforce serving their hometown and the country.
